The Fergus Falls High School Marching Band heads into the 2011 marching season with 130 members. Past honors have included three appearances in the International Lions Parade, with a 1st place finish at Boston in 2006. Recently the Fergus Falls High School Marching Band was the sole representative of Minnesota in the historic 2009 Presidential Inaugural Parade. The band will be performing in 5 parades this season. Their season begins on June 11th at Summerfest in their hometown of Fergus Falls. Following that the band will perform at the Pioneerland Band Festival (Benson), Wadena Summer Celebration (Wadena), and the Vikingland Band Festival (Alexandria). The band will conclude it’s season by representing the District 5M Lions at the International Lions Parade in Seattle, WA on July 5th.
The band will be performing selection from “Semper Fidelis” and “Stars and Stripes Forever.” This summer’s routine will culminate with the band’s rendition of “Yankee Doodle Dandy.”
The band members, Fergus Falls High School, and the community of Fergus Falls all take pride in the Fergus Falls High School Marching Band. With today’s performance the band members hope that you “Share The Pride.”
